Yesterday on Day 1 of our Active Schools Week we had a World Cup Penalty Shoot Out. We have many young budding soccer players in St Colman's. Saving penalties wasn't as easy as our Goalkeepers in 6th thought it might be! This week in St Colman's is Active Schools Week and what a busy week we have planned from Penalty Shoot Outs to a World Cup Soccer Blitz to a Marathon Challenge to School Tours to Sports Day to the Irish Open Golf! Watch this spot for more details!
Yesterday our 5th & 6th Class Boys took the Confirmation Pledge. They promised to stay away from Alcohol until they were 18 and to abstain from drugs for life. Congratulations Boys! We are very proud of you!

Well done Boys!On Thursday 5th & 6th Class boys had a visit from Fr Brian to discuss the Confirmation Pledge. Again on Thursday 5th & 6th Class boys had a visit from the Community Guards. They spoke on the importance of making the right choices and that the choices we make have consequences. They spoke a lot about our Personal Safety - putting on seatbelts in cars - wearing a helmet while cycling -saying NO to bullies - being careful online and saying NO to alcohol & drugs. They stressed the importance of telling someone, preferably an adult if there was something worrying them.
