Yesterday Mr Gerard McAuliffe from the Kanturk Branch of the Irish Red Cross came to visit our school. He spoke to all Classes about the Red Cross and the services it offers. Most of us didn't realise that you can become a member of the Red Cross at 5. He invited all of us to an Information Day in O' Brien Street Park next Saturday.
He also brought us a certificate thanking us for our donation of €300 to the Nepal Fund.
On Tuesday we handed over a cheque to Muscular Dystrophy Ireland having had a Christmas Jumper Day before Christmas. The 4 schools in the town had the fundraiser and we joined together to hand over the cheque. We gave MDI Ireland €1550. Well done KANTURK! We remember in a special way Keith & Ciarán.
