New Wave Mental Maths : Week 35 Tuesday & Problem
Number 4.
0.4 x 1.0
Remember 1.0 is the same as 1.
Any number multiplied by 1 stays the same.
Tuesday Problem
- Rule: A straight angle = 180’
__+130’ = 180’
- Let’s look first at the angle rotation from 12 to 1 on the clock. ( 5 minutes)
60 divided by 5 = 12
There are 12.
So to find the measurement of that angle between 12 and 1 we divide 360’ (a full rotation) by 12
360’ divided by 12 = 30’
The angle between 12 and 5 has 5 “ 5 minutes”
So it’s 30’ x 5 = 150’
