Well done to Jack, Adam, Kasparas, Dylan K in 6th & Ewan in 5th whose stories were chosen by the readers of the 100 Word Challenge as the BEST in the world in November and were selected to be showcased on the 100 word challenge website. Their stories can be read HERE.
Congratulations to Bailey (3rd ) who was awarded a prize in this year’s Kanturk Credit Union Art Competition. He received his prize at a special presentation ceremony today.
Well done to the children who took part in the Boherbue G.A.A. Quiz last Friday night. We had three teams taking part from Mrs O’Connor’s class. They were
(1) Paddy Duggan, Stephen Sheehan, Ronan Harrington and Craig McKiernan (2nd). (2) Eoin O’Keeffe, Darragh Quirke, Dan O’Rourke and Noel Forde (4th). (3) Nathan Higgins, William Corbett, Callum Marwood & Dominykas Cervinskis ( 5th). In the 5th and 6th category we had Paul O’Sullivan, Jack Quirke, Liam Breen and Kallum Young from Mrs Boyce’s class. (4th). Well done to all the boys. Our Green School's Committee is up and running again and they are oozing with enthusiasm. Check out the minutes of their last meeting. Well done boys - our school will be a greener school as a result of all your hard work.
We had 2 surprise visitors this afternoon - a gecko & a corn snake. Thanks to Adam 6th, Mark 3rd & their Dad Roy for bringing them in and telling us all about them.

Thanks again for giving voluntarily of your time. Swimming lessons for 3rd, 4th and 5th classes began today and will continue for 6 weeks in Mallow Pool. The boys enjoyed the splash!
All other classes will be going swimming after Christmas. Many thanks to the Parents' Association for subsidising this activity for us. The Annual Parent/Teacher Meetings will take place on Thursday November 17th and Monday November 21st. The children will be going home from school on Thursday at 2.30p.m. and normal time on Monday.
