My Confirmation Name : William
For my Confirmation I chose the name William because it’s my grandfather’s name that died last year.
Saint William was born in Vercil, Italy in 1085.
He was the founder of a congregation known as the Hemit of Monte Vergine.
At the age of 14 he left home and set out on a pilgrimage to Compostela of Spain.
He was credited of restoring sight to a blind man once.
After that miracle he left to go and live with with St.John of Mart-era.
Like in the good Samaritan he was attacked on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem.
He took this that God wanted him to do other work for him.
He also built a church after Mary.
He thought that fasting was good because he said it cleanses out the clutter in our lives and it made room for God.
In 1142 he died in Guglietto after living a life of solitude, prayer, fasting and sharing faith.
Today only one of his monasteries exists.

My Confirmation Name : Felix
I chose the name Felix as my confirmation name because I thought it would be different.
Nola is an Italian city.
St Felix of Nola was the elder son of Hermias.
When his father died he sold most of his possessions and gave the money to the poor.
Felix was ordained by and worked with Saint Maximus of Nola when Maximus fled from the prosecuting of the Romans.
However Felix was beaten and left to his faith and put in prison.
According to legend an angel freed him to help Maximus.
Felix found Maximus ill and helpless so he hid himself and Maximus in a vacant building.
When Felix closed the door a spider put a web around the building to make it look abandoned.
When soldiers came passing by they believed it to be abandoned.

My Confirmation Name : Anthony
I chose the name Anthony because it’s my Granddad’s name and he is very special to me.
The account of Saint Anthony of Rome is only known since the second half of the 16th century.
It is claimed that Anthony was born in Rome and became an Orthorox monk here.
Later he left the city and made a home at the seashore.
Once when he was on a stone and praying, a storm started and lifted the stone and in a few days moved it along the sea to the city of Novogorod, a Russian city.
Anthony who did not speak Russian was informed by a Greek merchant that was in Novogorod, met with Saint Nikita the bishop of Novogorod and obtained permission to found the monastery at the site where his stone arrived at shore.
