Yesterday we received a Water Safety Awareness Award. We made History as we are the first school in Duhallow to receive this award.
Caroline from Cork County Council gave us a terrific and most informative talk on Water Safety. We discussed the 14 Steps to Safer Swimming. She also told us about Rip Currents and How to throw a Lifebuoy. 6th Class blogged about their experience. They are well worth a read.
The Juniors learnt about Water Safety through playing Board Games. Some Classes have already made Water Safety Posters. Well done to all for a great Day of Learning. It's so important for everybody to Wise Up to Water!
