Great fun was had today at the Rugby Club for Sports Day. We had activities to suit everybody. We had the 100m & 200m sprints, the Golden Mile, the Potato & Spoon race, the Three Legged race, Throw the Wellie, Penalty Shoot out, Kick the ball in the Tyre and Guess how many sweets in the Jar? As well as all these activities the Parents Association held a Coffee morning & Raffle. A big thank you to all those who helped make this a terrific sports day.
The Golden Mile
5th & 6th have taken part in a Running Programme this term and today during the Golden Mile we could see the fruits of all their hard work. Erin 6th was first home in 6 minutes 45 seconds. Colin W was the first home in 5th Class. This race was not really about winning - it was about finishing it. Each runner who finished received a much sought after "Golden Mile" wristband. Well done to the following runners - Erin, Patrick, Brandon, Josh O' C, Kamil, Sebastian, Colin W, Sam, Conan, Matas, Ciaran C, Niall, Brandon H, Conor, Damian, Matthew, David G, Darius, Aidan, Shane, Colin L & Ciaran V.
