We are still collecting 1c and 2c coins in the school. If you have still any spares lying around the house you might send them in. To date we have collected over €500 With this money we have purchased Dual Time Clocks for each classroom. We hope this equipment will be of benefit to the children when they capture the concept of time.

Enrolment for Junior Infants for September 2016 will be taking place in the Convent Primary School Kanturk on February 4th and 5th from 10a.m. – 2p.m. each day. Spread the word if you know of any children due to start primary school this year.
You might not know but The Kube is coming to Kanturk on Sat. Jan 30th. This is a fundraising event organised by Kanturk Community Council. Our Parent’s Association have decided to enter this Kube Competition. The entry fee is €200. We are asking each child in the school to bring in €2 to cover this fee. Winner receives €2000 to donate to their charity.
We are looking for a volunteer (must be a dad or mum from our school) to enter the Kube on behalf of the school. If you are not sure what the Cube is like you could watch an episode of it on TV3. If you are interested in entering the Cube please contact the school immediately. If we have more than one person interested we will draw the lucky name out of a hat. Reminder, if you win the competition the money goes to the school! I’m sure the Parent’s Association will look after you! Good luck to all you dare devils out there. |
