Today our 6th Class Boys were invited to a fun day in Scoil Mhuire. Alot of the 6th Class pupils from the primary schools in the locailty were there. The boys were divided into different groups. Each group did 4 activities. They included P.E., Woodwork, Science, Home Economics, Technology, Music & Dance, French, Art and Drama. Many thanks to all in Scoil Mhuire for giving us a great day.

Today is Grandparent's Day. We celebrated Grandparent's Day by inviting our parents and grandparents to a special Mass. During the Mass we remembered our Grandparents in a very special way.
After Communion we read this reflection on Grandparents. My Grandparents From early in the morning, Until I go to sleep each day, I know my grandparents love me, In a very special way. Sometimes it's tea and crackers, Sometimes a walk in the park, Sometimes it's just a hug when I'm scared and in the dark. I love to hear their stories, About the past and where they're from, And I know their hearts are filled for me, With never ending love. Thank You God for Grandparents!
Today 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th had Tag Rugby with Aaron Jones. It was great fun. He will be with us every Tuesday until Easter.  
We launched our new Healthy Eating Policy on the 7th of January. It's great to see all the Healthy Lunches! Well done to all!
 As part of our Literacy Programme we introduced our Buddy Reading System in the school yesterday. Pupils from 6th, 5th and 4th classes listened to the boys in 1st, 2nd and 3rd reading, talked about the pictures and questioned the boys on what they had read. It was a very worthwhile activity and all the boys seemed to enjoy it. We will continue with the Buddy Reading System 4 days a week for 6 weeks.
 1st, 2nd & 5th, 6th Class boys had Hurling Coaching yesterday morning with Timmy Murphy. This was organised by Rebel Og and will continue every Monday for 5 weeks.
 Swimming lessons for 1st, 2nd & 4th classes started on Friday January 11th and will continue for 6 weeks.
