And the Winners are .......
  "All is calm, all is bright," here in St Colman's today!   Today we handed over €400 to the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Fund. At this time of year it's important for us to remember those who haven't as much as we have.  Today we received a lovely letter from Concern Worldwide, thanking us for our generous contribution of €320, for the people of the Philippines. It was great to hear how the money we raised is being spent.   
Today 5th & 6th Classes took part in their annual Carol Singing by the Daily Grind in O' Brien Street. We were fundraising for Vincent de Paul and our School Funds. We raised €930! Many thanks to Patricia from the Daily Grind for organising the event and for the lovely cupcakes she gave to each child afterwards. A huge thanks also to the collectors Eileen, Susan & Patricia. Well done boys on a great hour's work! 
 Yesterday we had our annual Christmas Mass. As Fr Brian said this, for many of us, is the start of the Christmas Season. It was a truly meaningful occasion of prayer, song, music and drama. The highlight most definitely was the acting out of the First Christmas by 1st Class. Well done to all!   Our Parents Association organised Carol Singing with the Gospel Choir as a fundraiser on Saturday. Huge numbers turned out despite the atrocious weather conditions and the Credit Union kindly allowed us to perform in doors. Many thanks to all those who helped in any way to make this a very festive, memorable occasion.   3rd & 4th Classes went Carol Singing to the Hospital on Thursday and put on a terrific performance of music and song. Well done to all!   This evening some parents, pupils & teachers put up the Christmas Decorations in the school. The school is looking very festive now. Many thanks to all those who helped. Only 19 days 'til Christmas! We can't wait!  |
