New Wave Mental Maths Starting on Week 32
Wednesday & Problem
Question 2.
How many ¼ hours are there in 2 hours?
Then multiply 4km by that number.
Question 5. Even - Odd =
Similar to yesterday, put in numbers to test it.
Question 11. Area of an irregular shape.
Divide it into 2 rectangles first. Find the Area of each one - Length x Width and then Add your 2 answers to find the TOTAL Area.
Problem
This is a Pie Chart.
First of all write down the fraction that goes with each section. Eg Summer = ½, Spring ¼ … Then to find out how many like Spring find ¼ of 200.

Today on Directed Numbers ( Positive & Negative Numbers ) I want you to do A10. I will put up a number line to help you with these. If you haven’t watched yesterday’s video watch it now.
On Number Sequences I would like you to do Q2 & Q3. As the numbers get bigger feel free to use a calculator to work out the answers.
As always, spend at least 10 minutes on each section.

Spend at least 10 minutes a day on Vocabulary Spelling City working on Week 27 and on Friday do the Spelling Test ME.
