Dear Teacher,
I am writing to you to prove that less homework is better than more homework.
Firstly children spend six hours in school to come home to an hour of homework. This is unfair and not one bit fun. In fact it is boring! We nearly spend more hours working than our parents!
When we have less homework we can go outside and run around and then become fit. We could get every school less homework, therefore we could get Ireland out of obesity charts.
Also we children could learn from what we see. For example children could go to work with their parents and observe what they are doing, then take an interest in it. I live down a passage s I could go to my granddad’s farm and help.
I school we learn so much that my brain could burst and then guess what – we come home for more learning which some days gives me a pain in the head!
Please take this letter into consideration.
Yours Sincerely,
Brandon

Dear Parents,
I am writing this letter to tell you about the importance of healthy eating, of fruit and veg and also of other nutritious food like meat.
Firstly I think you and your family should try your best to eat healthy food most of the time and eat the unhealthy food less. I have found out that almost half of the people in Ireland are overweight and 10,000 people die from heart disease each year.
I would like to mention the vitamins and minerals I know and what they do in your body. Iron gives you energy and helps you blood to give oxygen to parts of your body. Vitamin A is good for your bones, teeth skin and hair. Vitamin C is good for you hair, skin and gums. Vitamin C is especially important for your gums. If you don’t have vitamin C they will suffer from the gum disease known as scurvy. Vitamin D helps your body absorb calcium.
I would also like to mention some of the meat I know. Fish helps your brain function in tip-top shape. As I said too much fat is bad for your health but your body also needs fat to keep warm. I recommend eating meat to gain fat rather than eating junk food to gain fat.
This is all I have to say. Try your best to eat healthy food and eat unhealthy food less. It’s best to save the sweets for occasions like Christmas and birthdays! So be healthy and remember too much of anything is not good!
Yours Sincerely,
Cyruz

Dear Teachers,
I am writing to you because I think that you should give us less homework.
Firstly I would like to talk about exercise. We could get more if we had less homework. It would improve our health a lot. It would also give us more vitamin D from the sun.
As well as that we would get fresh air which would help us and our brains. We would be able to concentrate more in school and would be able to work better and faster.
Next I would like to talk about how secondary schools get homework on Friday. I think that is unfair! If we don’t get homework on Friday why should they?
Finally I would like to talk about pupils becoming stressed because of too much homework leads to pupils dropping out of school.
That is why I think we should get less homework.
Yours Sincerely,
David
