3rd class had great fun carrying out experiments during Science Week. The class participated in many interactive workshops where we tried to trick our brain! We put our senses to the test and enjoyed Skittles and Mentos in the process!
Lava lamps were made with some basic household materials. During this activity we explored the density of liquids.
The class experimented with "surface tension" by testing how water molecules can be used to support seemingly sinkable items such as paper clips and impressive "water strider" insects.
The week ended with a bang as 3rd class tested the explosive chemical reaction of Coke combined with Mentos!
Finally, a huge thank you to EPS for making Science Week more memorable for 3rd class by providing a goodie bag and some other cool spot prizes! We are looking forward to conducting more experiments around water usage and conservation in the coming weeks.
