English:
Reader: Dance Shoes for GG. This week I’m hoping the boys will finish reading the story “Denzel’s Holiday”.
Ask them to summarise the story. Explain that in order to summarise, boys will have to think about the main events and leave out unimportant details.
Talk about the story ending. Is that how you expected the story to end?
Pick your favourite part of the story and practise rereading it.
Have your test on Friday, just like we do in school.
Use https://www.spellingcity.com/users/mrsdlinehan as a link to access lots of spelling games based on Spellbound. Find ‘Unit 19’, ‘Try a game’.

Wednesday: No. 2 = How many days would you usually go to school in March? What date/day is St. Patrick’s day? What day/date is the last day in March? When is 1st April?
Thursday: No.4 = Name the four seasons. What season have we now? How many months in each season?
Friday: No. 6 =Count back in 10s from 100 to 0.
Problemsolving: Remember underline key words. Draw pictures to help. Use “ RUDE”
R= Read
U = Underline
D = Draw
E = Evaluate. .Does your answer make sense?
Remember mistakes are good when we learn from them.

Irish:

Continue with the theme ‘ÉADAÍ’ ( Clothes) particularly the games, songs and poems. Your child will be familiar with the format of these lessons .
If you just want your child to listen to the Irish language I would recommend Cúla 4, An Siopa Ealaíne or Spongebob ( Irish version).

- Treasury : Don’t work on this as it’s a short week and continue with the other activities instead.
- Sounds in Action: Continue on (maybe a page a day). This is revision of previous class work.
- Read At Home: Week 20
- Free writing or Discussion work ( link with Read at Home story) What would you use to design a rocket? Draw and label the parts. Where would you go? What would you see?
