Second Class May 18th- 22nd
ENGLISH:
Reading: This week I am giving the boys the chance to vary their
reading.They are doing really well with Charlie & the Chocolate
Factory with some boys finished or close to finishing their
class novel.
Continue reading Charlie if unfinished but the boys can also
start reading some ebooks this week. These books are from the PM collection which we used in the classroom before Christmas for the very successful Literacy Lift off programme. It’s important they are at the right level. Your son should be able to read most of the book comfortably (90 percent accuracy). If your son is finding the book too hard or too easy please let me know and I’ll make an adjustment.
Instructions:
Type app.pmecollection.com.au on web browser.
It is accessible on ipads and tablets too. Type pme collection into app store. Click on PM symbol.
I will send on your son’s username and password so you can login. I was able to keep the same password that your child has for IXL website but usernames are different.
Now you will have access to your bookshelf.

Select a book. The cover comes up first.
At the bottom right corner click on tab READ.
Using mouse, scroll to right arrow and click to go onto next page.
On ipad swipe from right to left to move on.
There are lots of features with this programme which we will explore over the weeks including recording your child reading but for this week we’ll read.
If you have any difficulties please let me know.
