We went to the River Dalua in the town park to investigate the water quality on Friday.
We were looking for ‘good bugs’ which indicate that the water is clean and we were hoping not to see the ‘bad bugs’ that thrive in polluted water. The boys took turns gathering the bugs from water and then identifying their finds. All the creatures were released back into the water. Zac caught a young fish which he also released.
Thank you to Mike from IRD Duhallow , Blue Dot Catchment Project for Farmers.
