Last week as part of our 100 Word Challenge 5th & 6th Class wrote letters of encouragement and hope to the Children of the Philippines. Here is the letter Sean Og wrote.
Dear Comrade,
I heard about the typhoon. It had waves thirty to forty feet high as well as very powerful winds.
The Irish are sending you three million worth of supplies. We might also be sending out unemployed construction workers to help repair and fix your buildings. We are also having a bake sale in our school to raise money for you.
I know you’re probably thinking things will never be the same but they will. Time is great at fixing things. Remember your home isn’t a house or building it’s the people inside that make it home.
Yours faithfully,
Sean Og
