On Sunday Kanturk were playing Ballyragget in Croke Park, Dublin.
It was a sunny but cold Spring day. The match beforehand was the Junior final which Ardmore won by 3 points in extra time. The match started and Kanturk were leading comfortably by a few points and then just coming up to half time Ryan Walsh scored a great goal to give Kanturk a 3 point lead at the break.
Coming into the second half Ballyragget looked a bit more dangerous as they were slotting over their points when ever they got the opportunity.
Kanturk were leading by two points coming up to the final minutes when all of a sudden Ballyragget scored a goal. At this point Ballyragget thought they had won it. But Kanturk didn't give up hope as they equalised in the dying minutes.
The moment everything would change was when Ian Walsh slotted the ball over the bar and won the game for Kanturk.
Kanturk are All-Ireland Intermediate Champions.
